Video Game Reviews of Blue's Clues: Blue's Alphabet BookCustomer Review: Great game! Summary: 5 StarsI got this for my daughters 4th birthday and she loves it. It has taught her to pair things up, letters and letters with colors and music notes! It's a great game for beginners!
Customer Review: Great learning tool Summary: 5 StarsI bought a gameboy before my daughter turned 2 hoping to keep her busy on a long plane ride. She enjoyed just pushing the buttons at that point and it kept her entertained for short periods of time. Now she is almost 2 1/2 and has mastered each and every Blues Clues Game and begs to play it every night before bedtime. It teaches the alphabet, motor skills, and memory. She can remember "hidden" letters better than my husband and I! She is very proud that she knows how to play the games, and loves to teach us adults how to play!
Customer Review: Excellent game for preschoolers! Summary: 5 StarsIn preparation for an overseas flight, I bought a Game Boy and three games for my 4 1/2 year old (with the intent of sharing with the 2 1/2 year old). Compared to the other games, the Blue Clues game had a number of excellent games, that TRULY involved pre-reading learning skills, and the graphics were colorful and engaging. My 4 1/2 year old quickly understood the activities and stayed glued to the game, well, for the duration of the trip! (It was just what we needed). The 2 1/2 year old couldn't understand the "rules" but he was happy (for 15 minutes at a time) to just push buttons and watch Steve and his pals. To the game's authors: Bravo!!! Job well done!!!
Customer Review: A terrific introduction to Gameboy for younger kids Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this game for my son (age 4.5) for Christmas and am very pleased with it. I had been hesitant about introducing him to the Gameboy at this age, particularly since the games I have seen rely so heavily on violence or "levels" the player must reach to go on in the game. Blue's Clues is an exception. My son has no problem navigating the screens and I appreciate that the games start at a beginning level and only increase in difficulty as my son is successful with them. The games are too simple for my 7 year old but a great introduction for the younger set. (I agree with another reviewer that the sound is not terrific--it has a "buzzy quality"--but my son plays the game in the car with the sound off and still enjoys it.)
Customer Review: Very hard to hear and understand what they are saying Summary: 1 StarsI cannot understand a word of what they are saying on this game! I think it is terrible. If I cannot hear or understand it, certainly my 3 year old cannot.
