Video Game Reviews of Trauma Center: New Blood

Customer Review: Enjoyable at first
Summary: 2 Stars

I enjoy watching those medical shows and even took a general learning course at my local hospital. I bought this game to further my knowledge, learn a few new terms, and have fun playing a game that not many others would enjoy. I generally enjoyoed the first level (of the four avaialble), but find the surgeries in level 2 and beyond near impossible on the normal or hard settings even after a lot of practice. I'm hopefully doing something wrong, but the game doesn't clue me in as to how to get better. It only allows me to repeat each stage. I'll set this game on easy and see if I can enjoy finishing it out. It was a lot of fun for the first level, but the intricate difficulty made it difficult to enjoy in subsequent levels.

Customer Review: Fun difficult and quirky game
Summary: 3 Stars

First off, this game is probably only going to be fun for someone who thinks that doing very unrealistic procedures on people sounds like fun. If it doesn't sound like fun to you, you probably will not like it at all.

This game, even on the easiest setting, is more difficult than I would have imagined. I think it is great and frustrating at times to beat different cases. I have only played in co-op mode, which makes the strategy and joy/disappointment/frustration of winning or losing cases that much more fun!

This game is very unrealistic in terms of procedures, illnesses, technology etc.

The storyline is quirky and cheesy. I don't know how else to phrase it. My girlfriend and I laugh non-stop, but others may not enjoy it.

This game can be fun. I was a bit disappointed with the new age mysticism. There is a huge amount of geeky dialogue, but the surgeries are challenging and educational. I really like the co-op feature as my son and I perform surgeries together. The new age philosophies have no place in a game about medical emergencies. That stinks!

I think it is difficult with the time constraints for a new player. My daughters play as a team and they seem to like it.

Customer Review: Horrible. Simply horrific.
Summary: 1 Stars

Yes, the preview pictures look good and promising - but after buying the game and playing it (several times - and still hated it), the conclusion, after just a few minutes of playing this, is that it's horrible. I can't think of a worse game I've played in my lifetime. It's a good thing I didn't play too much for this game - or I'd be really pi$$ed.
