Customer Review: Looks pretty but little practicality

Please note that this is a review for the Bluetek brand of remote slip. The actual item looks near-identical to the supplied picture, but clarification of brands is needed on the item listing.
I actually got this as a gift for Christmas. While it looks quite attractive once on and feels nice to touch, it is so difficult to put on the remote that it actually suffered a small tear. This became even larger upon removing it to replace the batteries, and I'm now the owner of a cheap, junky cover that looks horrible. I take care of my consoles and equipment, but the torn sleeve makes it look like I don't care about my remotes. Because of this I'm ashamed to use it in public, and I feel too guilty to throw away a gift that didn't even last one hour.
Of the little time I had with the sleeve looking (semi)decent, the D-pad was stiff and near unusable, and the home, + and - buttons were completely inaccessible without use of major force.
Feels nice, looks nice if you can get it on without trouble, but not worth the time, effort or money. Avoid.
