Bionic Commando is one of the greatest NES games. This port to the GB is an excellent port. The graphics and sound are good. The gameplay is unique because you do not jump. Instead, you use your arm to grapple and move across a place. There are enemies that move about on the map. Overall, this game is pretty hard. However, that is a small flaw to this great game.
Description of Bionic Commando
In this pseudo-sequel to the original BIONIC COMMANDO, you'll play as either the male or female Bionic Commando as you attempt to rescue your comrade Commando Joe from the clutches of the evil overlord Arturus. You must progress through over 20 levels of side-scrolling action with your guns blazing. It's more than just a mindless shooter, however, as you'll have to use the ultimate tool, your bionic arm, if you want to get anywhere. Using it, you'll grab, swing, and climb your way through the lushly colored backdrops. Each character's quest differs slightly, which helps add replay value to this fun title. You'll have to collect a wide variety of items and weapons to complete your mission, including a rocket launcher, assault rifle, flares, and more. Play overhead-shooting and first-person sniping bonus rounds to collect extra items.Sci-Fi Games
