this game played much like other capcom titles on the snes, such as super ghouls and ghosts and the mega man x series, but had a very cool premise where you play a demon that upon defeating bosses, gains a crest that allows you from then on to change the form of your demon to things like a flying form or an amphibious form, and each form is utilized well throughout the game. Not only that, but your standard demon form gets many powerups of its own, at first only being able to spit fire and can later shoot out things like balls of lightning and cyclones, all of which are very fun to use. The action in the game is more than passable but the game really shines in its boss fights. The game is challenging but not to the point where its impossible. Although it can be beaten fairly quickly, its a very enjoyable game. The only downside to the game is its lack of replay value, but still a game worth checking out.
Description of Demon's Crest
In DEMONS CREST, youll engage in a struggle for control of the six magical stones. When combined, the stones comprise the Demons Crest, which grants ultimate power to its possessor. You play as Firebrand, a gargoyle that emerged from a bloody civil war as the holder of the Crest. Unfortunately, your nemesis, Phalanx has stolen the stones and scattered them throughout the realm. Now youve got to undertake a quest to retrieve all six of them, before someone else gathers them and uses the Demons Crest for evil. As you explore the seven levels, youll discover tons of hidden items, including the magical stones. Each stone allows you to morph into a different gargoyle form, each with unique abilities and attack modes. If you are successful on your mission, the realm will be safe, but if you fail, theres no telling what could happen.Kids & Family Games
