Video Game Reviews of Wii Disney Sing It Bundle with MicrophoneCustomer Review: Of course the 8-year-old loves it...but why no downloads for the Wii version? Summary: 3 StarsOur 8 year old loves the game, and unlike some other similar games (Disney Channel Dance Dance Revolution on PS2) when we set the skill level to easy, she is actually doing well. Nothing is more frustrating for kids her age than for games to be too hard even at the easiest levels.
The only thing that keeps me from giving it a higher rating is the fact that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions let you dowload more songs than just the basic 35 that come with the game...as of January 18, 2009, not available for the Wii...Why? Odds are the Wii version will outsell both other formats combined. It is missing some classic songs that I'd certainly download for her from the Wii network.
Oh, and on the random chance someone involved with the game ever reads these...please do a version with songs from Disney animated movies. I would know some of those and wouldn't look silly for not knowing a single song when my daughter says "Dad, why don't you try one?"
Customer Review: Rather disappointed Summary: 1 StarsI'm afraid I will be in the minority with this game. I bought it for my two daughters that watch a lot of Disney and enjoy their various songs. However, the songs they include on this title must not be very popular. My daughters didn't recognize most of the songs and ended up only wanting to sing to just a couple of the included songs. The other problem is the words on the screen need to be LARGER. My daughters had a hard time reading the text with all the background video. (Why couldn't they have put a semi-transparent rectangular area behind the words to make them stand out better?) Also, in all the songs the words don't 'scroll' and instead just pop in. They really needed the lyrics to be on two lines. The top line should be the current verse being sung, and a bottom line on screen for the upcoming verse. It would really help if they put extra words in the lyrics on screen other than just the few words getting sung at any given moment. Since many of the songs included aren't that popular, my daughters didn't know them that well and had a very hard time keeping up with the songs. Generally they would get behind in the songs trying to read the lyrics and just stop singing. After a short time, they gave up altogether with this game and haven't played it since. Very disappointed that with all the popular Disney songs from the current popular shows, they included the song selection they did. It really is a major let down and it ruined this title for my daughters. The other main issue is with how poorly the lyrics on screen are handled.
Customer Review: Sing-it WII Summary: 2 StarsI bought this game for a friend to give as a gift for christmas that all i know
Customer Review: 5 year old loves it Summary: 4 StarsMy son loves this...I just wish there were more songs.... but we enjoy watching it. Seems like there is a very slight lag though.
Customer Review: Sing It LOW! Summary: 4 StarsSing It! was a Christmas gift for my almost-12-year-old daughter. She is a performer. Loves to sing and performs whenever she can. She takes her music very seriously and, therefore, took Sing It! seriously, too. She will work at a song for an hour or more at a time. She likes the feedback the game gives her and the songs are fun ones that she knows. The only problem is that none of the songs are really in the right key for her. They are all pretty low which runs the danger of straining her voice. We wish there were more songs in higher keys or a way to pick the key for a song..like a dual key accompaniment track. Overall, it's been great and she has had a really fun time with it! Even if I do have to hear the same songs sung over and over and over...!
