I have found this game to be more fun than the board games, because there are more features and play modes than on the traditional board games.
After a seven hour marathon with a friend playing Yahtzee, we realized we were addicted. Fun twists on the Battleship like super weapons & Salvo (which lets you have a hit for every ship you have left on the board.) Connect 4 has Super Chips that have special options, and
Sliders is a fun stress reliever.
Also has fun competitive modes for parties, where you have to do little tasks (like roll a certain dice or shoot the pawn at a certain speed.)
I would highly recommend this game for adults & families.
In response to the reviewer who said their kids were bored after 30 minutes--that is the normal attention span for their age. Hopefully you were playing the games with them since 6 is a bit young to play the board versions and they would normally get frustrated for not having the cognitive skill set to fully play the games.

Hasbro Family Game Night for the Wii really is fun for the family. My youngest really enjoys exploring and modifying the game room in her player profile. Battleship is done well considering the screen is shared. The opponent does have to turn away or cover their eyes while a player places their ships. The graphics in all the games are fun. Mr. Potato Head adds a fun element to the game play as a guide and spectator. A lone player may quickly get bored, but for multi-player round-the-table type game play, I definitely recommend this one.Customer Review: fun game!

bad games: sorry, battleship.
This is a great game for just picking up once a week or so and playing for a good 30 minutes with a buddy or your kids.

If you're a fan of any of these classics, this game is for you. The wife and I play Yahtzee and Battleship several times a week. She's not a gamer, but has taken to this game and really enjoys it. The different versions of the games (especially Battleship) are a blast. EA did a great job with this one.
