Video Game Reviews of Hasbro Family Game NightCustomer Review: Fun but... Summary: 4 StarsThis game is fun! But there are some parts that are boring. I love all the games except for Sorry.
Customer Review: GREAT GAME! All the fun classics without having to store the actual game. Summary: 5 StarsThis a great game! My husband and I own some of the board games for the ones included, but enjoy this much more! Boggle is more challenging than the regular board game because it doesn't allow you to get the same words as others. You can either point your Wii remote at the sensor bar to select letters, or point it away from the sensor bar and use the arrows in combination with the A button to select letters. We prefer to use the arrows, makes it much quicker! There are also different version of the same game to play, which makes it interesting and speeds up some of the games. For Boggle it has a word hunt version or one in which when you get a word it switches the first and last letter, which allows for even more words to be found! Yahtzee also has some fun versions, such as block out. You try and get points for things before your opponent and can even steal away if you score higher for a particular one than your opponent. The party version is fun too since it allows you to play short versions of the games you select. We love this game and play it all the time. Also, the more you play and the more you do you win things to decorate your 'room' with. Such as trophies, chairs, rugs, artwork, slippers, coat rack, posters, etc. We always enjoy seeing what we have won after accomplishing certain things, such as long word for Boggle, playing Boggle for over an hour at one time, or shaking the yahtzee dice for over 10 seconds. Just adds a bit of fun. If you don't like Mr. Potatohead, you can alway remove him. He does get a bit annoying sometimes. Again, we love this game and recommend it to everyone we know that loves to play board games.
Customer Review: Wii Mom Summary: 2 StarsThe games are the same ones we all played as youngsters, but the on-screen instructions and prompts are in such small font that it is nearly impossible to read them without being on top of the TV. Also, this game does not take advantage of the Wii format in design. You have to push alot of buttons to play the games.
Customer Review: Fun game for the family Summary: 4 StarsI was very excited to receive this as a Christmas present. My favorite games are Battleship and Connect 4. They were very similar to the original games I use to play as a kid. I was not too happy with Sorry. That was my favorite game as a kid, so I had very high hopes for it. Playing Sorry with this game was confusing and hard to understand at first. I give this game 4 out of 5 stars because although I was disappointed with Sorry, I had a lot of fun playing the rest of the games.
Customer Review: LEAVE THE Battleship with THIS GAME Summary: 1 StarsALTHOUGH, IT'S LIKE PLAYING THE ORIGINAL BOARD CAMES, THE USER INTERFACE "bites" BIG TIME. WHEN WE'RE PLAYING BOOGLE, AND TRY HIGHLIGHTING THE WORD, MY WII REMOTE TOTALLY JUMPS ALL AROUND. I WANTED TO THROW MY REMOTE AT HASBORO. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME.
LEAVE THE BATTLESHIP & PLAY ANOTHER WII GAME.
