My niece Jenna really loves The Sims. She's has been staying with me for the last couple weeks while her parents are vacationing in Europe. One evening while I was writing a review to post on this site, she told me she wanted me to post reviews of all her Sims games. I told her if she wrote them, I'd post them. So, below please read Jenna's take on this game. I have not edited her words, they are here exactly as she wrote them.
Jenna says: In this Sims game, you are washed up on a deserted island and you need to survive until rescue comes (if it does come). You make clothes, meet other survivors, find food, go fishing, and explore your island. Way fun! I love it! One of the best Sims game yet!
My take on The Sims is that if you have a child who wants to play video games, look no further than The Sims. There are no murders here, no killings, no tanks, no planes, no bombs, no body parts flying all over heck and gone. Simply stated, The Sims are fun, they really are, they are good, clean fun.

So fun, I am addicted.
Been years since I played a sims game, except for sim animals.
But I am hooked. This is so much fun, I just got to the third island.
I wish I could live on this island, there is so much food here you sims could live a lifetime and never go hungry. I am just working my way up to a decent place top live. I need more skill and material.
For a while we lived in the cave. But now we are on a beach.
Anyway, not sure if we will ever escape, but for not I don't want them to escape. HA

I love the "sims" games. I've played the games on multiple consoles, and I love them all. I have to admit, though, I didn't like this game that much. The story is slightly fun, but the gameplay is very annoying.
Story-You were on a ship, and the weather got bad and tossed you overboard. You soon find yourself on a deserted island. Your goal is to search around the island and either find a way off or build a home there. There are certain goals that you are required to complete as the game moves along. Some are really easy, while some are rather hard and annoying. Also, some are fun, while some aren't. All in all, the story was well done and a little fun.
Graphics-They were okay, but they weren't anything special. They look cartoon-like but nothing like the pc series. Like I said, they were okay.
Sound-There wasn't really any music. There was a radio, but it only played music when you turned it on and stood around it.
Gameplay-You move around using the nunchuk. The wiimote is used for nothing except pulling up a few menus. In the game, you can collect lumber, leaves, and natural foods such as coconuts and bananas. With the lumber you can build houses, furniture, and other things. Leaves can be used to make clothing and some furniture. You also need to make boats out of the lumber in order to move from island to island. There is quite of bit of island hopping in this game, and the loading times are horrible. You can have up to six people on the island, but you control all of them. This is NOT a multiplayer game. Anyway, the gameplay is very annoying and makes the game very tedious.
Fun-The game really is quite fun, but the gameplay takes away from that.
Length-The whole story takes about 20 hours to finish, and then if you don't choose to be rescued, you can play forever.
All in all, the game is fun, but the gameplay really makes this game not too great. If you really want this game, get it pretty cheap.

I love the Sims games. This game was fun until I beat it and got off the island. Then I just lost interest in it. It is a really cool game, maybe my attention span is just too short.
