Compared to the previous two versions, version 09 was a terrible disappointment. When putting you have to hit the ball as if you were driving and that's only one of the bad things about this game. Save your money and buy an 07 or 08 version.Customer Review: Not just for golfers

Overall a pretty awesome game! You don't need to know allot about golf to enjoy playing. All Play makes it easy for everyone. With 3 player skill options anyone should be able to find what they like. The game graphics are clean and bright. Game play is smooth with lots of other challenges besides standard golf. If you like golf but not a 'real' player, or you are a 'real' player, you will enjoy this game.
I bought this version rather than the newer one simply for price.

I read the reviews and complaints before I ever rented this game. Putting takes some getting used to. But, frankly, I couldn't wait TIGER WOODS 10 to come out so it would go on sale. I must admit I am new to Wii,(53 yo) so my review probably carry much weight.
I am learning it and I agree with some of the other reviews that I am not crazy about the putting part yet,
All in all, I would buy it and I am having fun learning how to play it...both the Wii game and the real game :-)
