Video Game Reviews of Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore BUNDLE

Customer Review: Better on the PS2
Summary: 5 Stars

I love ALL the "Karaoke Revolution" games and this one is no exception but it's just not that great on the wii consol

Customer Review: Not much of a challenge
Summary: 4 Stars

The only complaint that I have so far is that this game is a little too easy. My husband is the WORST singer that I have ever heard and on every song that he tried, he got rave reviews from the judges. Even Simon spoke very highly of him which made us laugh because we know that if Simon was really able to hear him "sing" that he'd be laughed out of the building! He really had to work hard for points in the original Karaoke Revolution, but not this one. Because the American Idol version isn't challenging enough, neither one of us has had any desire to play again after the first time.

A good thing about the game is that it has great songs, although I do wish that there were more to choose from, or at least the option to download more.

Customer Review: Wii American Idol
Summary: 4 Stars

I played this game on PS2 before buying it for the Wii. I love it and it is well made. The only complaint I have about the Wii version is that only 14 of the 40 songs are by female vocalists. It's easier for me to sing along in the range of the female vocalists, so I wish the songs were more balanced.

Customer Review: Need help, I love the game but ....

To my understanding you can download songs and outfits? How do you do it? I hope this is true because if i can't then I hate this game!

Customer Review: Enjoyable - worth owning!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this as I was trying to get more out of my Wii than just bowling, and I enjoy singing, but I'm not much of an America Idol fan.

My only complaint was that I won the competion (8-songs) the very first time I played. I thought it might be a little more challenging, but overall I had a good time.

Song selection is great. However, I learned a quick cheat (which is perhaps why I won.) If you have a song you know and like, you can sing it as many times as you want in the competition. There's nothing that prevents you from singing the same song more than once. I sang Billy Joel's "It's Still Rock and Roll To Me" during the auditions and got a perfect score. So I sang it as my first song in the competition. Got a perfect score again. When it was down to me and one other competitor, I chose this song again, got a perfect score and, hence, won the game.

The bonus items that you can unlock are very entertaining. You'll see some great performances from previous AI competitions. You'll also see some terrible auditions which are good for a laugh.

Definitely a good party game, I'm sure.
