Customer Review: Fun for a while..
Summary: 3 Stars
This was a fun game for the SNES back in the day, now it just seems sorta ancient, but it can be fun for those who don't like the more complicated games of today for the more advanced systems.
It's fun button mashing and you even get to use a finishing move, when your opponent is tired.
You can choose from 12 wrestlers: Yokozuna, Crush, Macho Man Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Lex Luger, Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Tatanka and The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase.
There are a few modes to play: Single, Tag Team and Triple Tag Team, all either vs. the computer or another player, Royal Rumble, where you fight the other 11 superstars and a single and tag title tournament.
The best modes are the Royal Rumble and tourney modes, the others are too easy.
Pros:
-The graphics are good, for back then especially.
-The characters have their own unique look.
-Different modes to play, gives some replay value.
-You can pull off a finishing move for each wrestler, some are harder to do than others, (i.e. Lex Luger's running forearm smash).
-The music is good, especially for a 16 bit system.
Cons:
-Besides the finishing moves, all the characters do the same moves.
-The finishing holds only work sometimes, not every time.
-It gets boring playing by yourself, pretty fast.
-The replay value wears off quicker than some games.
Overall it's a good game, worth renting (if you can find a place that rents SNES games these days) or buying for a low price, just don't expect groundbreaking stuff. But it's an agreeable time waster.
