My son was really looking forward to this game (big Star Wars and Wii fan). We also got the glowing light sabers (very disappointing, reviewed separately).
For the first 15 minutes it is fun but after a while the game gets repetitive. The graphics are not as good as I had hoped. Aside from a couple of tries over the holiday period the game has not been used.
There seemed to be plenty of room for improvement on both the game play and graphics aspects of the game, overall my son and I were rather disappointed.

Though this game is quite easy to set up and play, according to my 7 year old Star Wars Fanatic....this game is just OK... It only allows you lightsaber battles (hence the name), types of battles and characters are limited and it appears less challenging than the other Star Wars Wii game. My 7 year old is quite familiar with the characters due to books, movies, etc....so, he got bored with this game. I've been waiting for a Star Wars video game that actually lets kids feel like a Jedi and took advantage of the features of the more active Wii. This one is it. My sons love it and I love that they get to jump around and wave their light sabers. Customer Review: Good for young boys

I bought this item for a Christmas present for my 8 year old son. He loves playing the game as it provide just enough of a challenge without becomming frustrating to him. I also bought thruster light sabers to go with the gift. After watching him play with the light sabers ($38 for 2)I think they are not as effective as they could be. It made it much more difficult for him to play the game because of the bulk of the item (too heavy)and they didn't seem as responsive to his movements. If you are purchasing this game and thinking about light sabers for a younger player, I would purchase the cheaper versoin in hopes that they are less bulky and easier to manage.
