We got this for Christmas, and our whole family loves it! Grandparents, husband, myself, and our 2 year-old son - we all took turns playing together. My husband said, "What a great game to play as a family!" as our toddler was belting out, "You don't have to turn on the red light!!" (lyrics to Roxanne) - lol, that cracked me up. We just unplug whatever instrument the little one is using so it doesn't mess up our score.
I've heard RockBand2 (RB2) is also pretty cool, but it seems like the instruments (which work on both v.1 and v.2) are really similar... so we figured we'd get the full set of RB1 for $[...], and then later, if we feel like we need more songs, get the game-only of RB2 for $[...] ... that way you can spend just $150 to get both RB1 and RB2, rather than $[...] for RB2 alone.

Product was definitely worth it. My 15 year old son is having a blast with the drum set. Other's in the family enjoyed the guitar and the microphone (singing). A great Christmas gift for my son.
