Video Game Reviews of Game PartyCustomer Review: Great Family Game Summary: 5 StarsThis is a cool game that you can get the whole family in on. We have a lot of fun playing the games on this...
Customer Review: Save your money Summary: 2 StarsI bought this thinking it was a party game, not a PARTY game. I thought the skill ball would be fun. It's not. If your hand tilt right, the ball goes left, and vice-versa. There is nothing to really keep you "into" this game except trying to find a better game to play....and there just aren't any. There really is nothing worth mentioning except save your money. The game play is weak, the characters are mostly slight variations of a small number of different characters, and it just isn't fun or captivating. I read that the quarters game was fun if you were drinking, well, perhaps, but who wants to drink that much just to enjoy a video game? Enough said. If you buy it, "I told you so," is all I can say.
Customer Review: Not recommended for kids Summary: 2 StarsEven though this game is rated E for everyone, it is not for kids. Some of the games are even difficult to do as an adult. It is interesting to see the different types of games that companies create. Some user friendly, some not so much. I would not recommend this one. First it only has a couple of games open to play. Once you have played them and have mastered them, then it opens up additional games. I feel when I buy a disk that states it has 20 games, I expect those 20 games to be available the first time I put in the disk.
Customer Review: Just eh Summary: 3 StarsThe game is fun in typical Wii Sports style...it offers some classic arcade games...ski ball, hoop shoot, darts. I really only got it because it has beer pong, but unfortunately there's no beer in the cups. It would be way more fun that way.
Customer Review: not that good Summary: 3 StarsThe biggest problem with this game is the difficulty.
The dart, shuffle board and trivia games are pretty fun because they offer a nice enough challenge, but the rest of the games are extremely hard. SO hard in fact, they aren't worth your time or your money, and that's why Game Party is average.
Table hockey is extremely tough and you won't get ANY breaks, trust me. Hoop Shoot is amazingly difficult as well. I have yet to make even ONE hoop, and I tried throwing the ball at every angle you can imagine.
Trying to bounce a little ball into a series of cups in Ping Cup will take you a VERY long time, trust me.
My family loved the dart game though, because that's the only one that seems fair. When you throw the dart there's a pretty good chance it will land where you want it to. Of course I don't recommend you play darts for more than 10 minutes because the Irish dance music that plays will *make you go absolutely insane*. Can't say the same for the other games.
Trivia is kind of like a combination of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy- you spin a wheel to answer questions, and the questions themselves are somewhat difficult, but not too bad.
This is the kind of game you shouldn't spend more than a couple dollars on, and guess what? With the price of Wii games and the price of AA batteries for your Wii remote, that ain't gonna happen any time soon. Avoid.
Also, the animated people in the game are the ugliest people I've ever seen in my life. They scare me a LOT they are so ugly. Who created characters like this?
