Fire Emblem is SUPPOSED to be complicated, that is what makes it that much better and more fun to play!!!!!!
I can't believe that you idiots would rate a great game like this one so low.......
I'd like to see how far you guys would get in FE5

Customer Review: Amazing game for the hardcore strategist. Summary: 5 StarsThis game has an incredibly steep learning curve -- if you're not good, it punishes you, and you will cry -- but it is fun and has a good storyline once you get better. This is easily one of the best linear strategy games out there.
Customer Review: First Time Out With Fire Emblem Summary: 4 StarsLet me preface this review with the fact that I've never played another Fire Emblem game before this.
Now that that is out of the way....
Starting the game off seemed to be very difficult! You start off with a few characters who are very weak and tend to die very quickly if you're not using some sort of strategy. If you've never played the series before, you start to realize that your characters can't come back from the dead! This threw me off until I realized what was happening! So be prepared to save and save often if you want to keep all your characters alive and kicking.
The gameplay was very reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics and for that I enjoyed the game. You move your characters about on a plot of land and can only move so many squares per turn. The type of character and terrain determines the amount of spaces that you can move.
As you progress through the game you can level your characters up. Once characters get to a certain level they then graduate to a new class ranking. This can give them new skills, a horse to ride on, etc... Very fun aspect of them game.
The story line was very interesting to me. As the story goes on, it takes twists and turns you may or may not expect.
If you're looking for a fun strategy game, this just may be your cup of tea. I know it was mine!
Customer Review: Love this Game Summary: 5 StarsThis game, through my standards, happens to be one of the greatest games I have ever played. The gameplay itself maybe tweaked a bit in order to have an "easy-access" way to reset in order if you lose a valuable playable character, but overall, the graphics are stunning, the storyline is exquisite and the CG cutscenes are breath-taking for one who has played 90% of the Fire Emblem Series. This sequel is a must-have for those who have enjoyed the Fire Emblem Series, especially Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Customer Review: Dull, after playing Path of Radiance Summary: 2 Stars
I played this game before its prequel: Path of Radiance for the Gamecube.
In the beginning the story and characters seemed uninspiring, the dialogue wooden and juvenile. How could anyone care for the Dawn Brigade? Leonardo, Edward, Nolan, so shockingly poor characters do I seldom see. Also the whole presentation seemed flawed. Outdated graphics, unmemorable music, bad voice-acting, still pictures and lifeless images.
Little by little I grew into the game, and after a while I was no longer bothered by the things which I mentioned. The story, characters and dialogue all improved as the game moved on, particularily in part III.
A new to the series, the game felt immensely difficult at times, but it was mostly for not thinking ahead and trying to move too fast. On second playthrough even hard/maniac mode is a piece of cake.
However, only after playing Path of Radiance, and then starting this game again, do I see how lackluster this game actually is. A pity they coulnd't build better on the foundation laid by the prequel.
