Video Game Reviews of New Play Control! Mario Power TennisCustomer Review: It just wasn't right for us Summary: 1 StarsI loved all my Mario games growing up, so I thought I'd love the tennis game as well. Sadly, the controls weren't accurate, and there are too many special powers of each of the characters that makes the game harder to get through. We played for about 20 minutes and decided to pack it up. I'm now re-listing it for sale. I was disappointed, but perhaps it is because I'm too much older now to enjoy it as I might have in my childhood.
Customer Review: I agree with the previous reviewers ... Controls aren't accurate. Summary: 4 StarsI liked played Tennis on my Wii Sports game and truly expected more from Mario Power Tennis to be alot more better than this. But it's still a fun game to play especially if you play with others but the controls aren't fine tuned. The gamebook suggests alot of different real-life tennis moves but it doesn't matter how you hit it the ball still travels towards the opponent automatically. Only chance of making the game a little better is if you play it in items mode where you get power-up items. Also they didn't add one character that I believe is an important one ... Toadstool. They added others like Baby Bowser and even one of the Turtle guys but not Toadstool. Toadstool and Yoshi are one of my favorite characters from any Mario game. I'd give this game 5 stars but with control flaws and no Toadstool ... I gave what it deserves.
Customer Review: It is a fun game... Summary: 4 StarsTo be honest I didn't like this game at first. When I first saw it I compare it with Wii Sports and there were many things I didn't like but then a friend came over and we set up a multiplayer game and then it became fun, what I didn't realize is that the game ism't exactly all about tennis, it more about getting "tricks" done during the game of tennis and I now consider this game fun.
I think many people like me will rush to give a bad evaluation to this game but I think it is because they like me were expecting a "pure tennis" game like Wii Sports when it is not. It is a fun game once you understand the differences and the challenges in it.
Customer Review: Great Party Game! Summary: 4 StarsThis game is a lot of fun! ... especially when hosting a small get together. Though Wii is known for it's game control being one of its main pros, I will say that I was a little disappointed with the controls for this game. In fact, I prefer this playing game on the Nintendo 64. Aside from that though, the game itself is still great and easy for anyone to pick up pretty quickly (even for those who don't play video games much, like myself).
Customer Review: Fun, but.... Summary: 3 StarsWe love to play Wii Play Tennis, so we figured this would be even better. The fact is, there's just too much going on on the screen. It's very hard to see where the ball is. Fun, but frustrating.
