Video Game Reviews of Super Mario GalaxyCustomer Review: Super Mario Galaxy Takes Me Back Summary: 5 StarsI was a bit hesitant at first when considering whether to buy Super Mario Galaxy. I had always enjoyed the original Super Mario Brothers series on the NES but that was years ago. However when Amazon ran a deal and cut the price of the game I had to give it a try. I'm very glad that I did!
A few reviewers have commented that the game gets old after a while because you play the same type of boards over and over. I don't think anything could be further from the truth. The game designers in my opinion did a great job of varying the planets and galaxies to keep the game interesting. In addition, as you progress through the game the individual levels get longer, more complicated, and you must solve tougher puzzles to progress through each level.
I think the addition of mini-games at various times throughout the game as well as the chapter-by-chapter telling of the story of the observatory is another way that they keep the game fresh and interesting. For anyone that enjoyed the original Super Mario Brothers and the 32 two dimensional boards contained within it, you will love the 120 or so boards in this game and the incredible 3D play. Give it a try and I think you'll be hooked.
Customer Review: I AM SOLD ON NINTENDO Summary: 5 StarsI was a fan of the playstaion every since the first one came out in the 90's. I was a PS3 owner until my step son got a Nintendo WII for his birthday. I found mario galaxy on ebay and bought it used. I was hooked from day one. I sold my PS3 and all the games and bought myself a WII and this game. A must for all ages of gamers
Customer Review: Super Mario Galaxy ROCKS!!! Summary: 5 StarsI really love Super Mario Galaxy for Wii! I got it for my birthday in February and I beat it a couple months ago. It's an AWESOME game!! If you like Super Mario 64, this game is for you! The graphics are totally amazing--you've never seen Bowser this close up!! The story is really great--there's plenty of new characters as well as your favorites. The music is way beyond the normal stuff for Mario games. Being in space adds a whole new thrill to the game. Plus with co-star mode, I can help out my little sister with her game by holding off enemies with my second Wii remote. And there's still stuff to do after you beat it, too, so it's not like the game is completely useless after you beat it. There's challenging levels and easy levels so anyone can play. The controls are easy to catch on to. This game ranks in my top three Mario games. I would definatly recommend this game for anyone who's got a Wii and likes Mario games as much as I do!!
Customer Review: Family Fun! Summary: 5 StarsAwesome game!A must have for Wii owners.Nice music.Graphics is very colorful.Easy controls. An excelent game for 5,8 and 35.
Customer Review: Another fun Mario game Summary: 5 StarsThis game is entertaining. There's a number of different styles of play depending on the type of level and situations. These can be frustrating at first but also add some more challenges. That level of challenge has been missing from a lot of Mario games which seem to only have gotten easier since the original Super Mario Bros game.
