I bought this product thinking I could keep an extra battery charged in case one of the two others I owned died. Unfortunately I failed to understand the battery needed to be in the wii remote to charge it. You can charge them by switching out the battery then charging it and putting it aside but that's more of a pain than I'm willing to go through. This Nyko Wii Battery Kit is great if you already have the Wii Charge Station base. The base (sold separately) comes with two of these battery kits plus the base. Since the Wii can use FOUR Wiimotes, you'll need two additional batteries, and this Battery Kit fits the bill very well.
The batteries hold their charge quite well and for a long time. They also don't take TOO long to charge up.
Unfortunately, you can't set the batteries in the charger by themselves: They have to be attached to a Wiimote. Also, as Nintendo now ships the Wiimotes with a plastic cover, or "glove", you have to peel the "glove" at least halfway off of the Wiimote to place on the base. It can also be a little tricky to get the Wiimote to sit on the base because the Wrist strap gets in the way. It's not difficult, but it could have been a better design.
All in all I love this Battery Kit and the sold separately Nyko Charge Station. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: Give you a decent rechargeable battery for the Wiimote. My only concern is that the base could have been designed a bit better.
The Battery Kit itself, for which this review is for, is perfect!
