Customer Review: Excellent charger, even if sleeves get in the way

Some of the reviews that I read on this charger before I purchased it mentioned that it is difficult to charge the Wii remotes with the sleeves still in place. After receiving the charger, I found that to be absolutely true. The remotes sit very snugly in the cradles without the protective sleeves. If you put them on and try to charge the remotes, then it is difficult for the magnet to make contact to hold the remote. I find this to be a minor annoyance, however, since it really isn't very hard to remove the sleeves and put them back on (at least it is if you aren't using the Wii motion plus, with which I have no experience). For those who don't like to remove the sleeves, like I said; it's difficult to charge the remotes with the sleeves in place, but not impossible.
One thing that I was not expecting was the strength of the magnet. I was a little worried about how well the magnet would hold the remotes in place. That doubt is long gone. The magnet is VERY strong. It almost rips the remote out of your hand and pulls the remote into place. There really isn't any difficulty at all lining the thing up properly. The magnet pulls it right into place.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this charger.
27 January 2010: After a little more time with this charger, I've found that it really isn't that difficult to charge the remotes while still in their protective sleeves. Also, a claim was made in a different review that it took longer to charge the remotes in the sleeves. I decided to try this out. I took both dead remotes and charged them at the same time; one with the sleeve on, one without. The one with the sleeve actually charged much faster than the one without. The only negative I've noticed so far: the life of the battery seems to be shorter than the life of the normal rechargeable batteries I was using before I bought this charger. However, the information that came with the charger says that it may take a few charges before the batteries reach their full charge. We'll see if that remains in the future.
After further review, I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 5.
