I'm a diehard Sega fan and absolutely love the Dreamcast, it was a trail blazing machine that was truly ahead of it's time and you don't have weigh in technical specs to prove the point. Just plug the Dreamcast into a handy VGA box and behold the spectacular, jaw dropping truth with your very own eyes. After all, seeing is believing! Watch new life being breathed into the graphics. Your favorite titles are painted onto a fresh piece of canvas, becoming a new work of art that is absolutely beautiful. The picture is significantly sharper and cleaned up considerably. It literally shines with new crystal clarity, making text easier to read. The colors are more vibrant and incredibly rich, leaping out out of the television to grab your attention. Adding unimaginable depth and polish to almost every title in the Sega Dreamcast library of classic video games that is positively guaranteed to put a smile on a Dreamcast gamers face that is well worth the modest price of admission. This particular VGA box is light and well constructed, boasting a handful distinct features not included in many earlier versions. Like a toggle switch that lets you alternate between a computer display or television; depending on which one you prefer. Along with the standard TRS audio connector for sound, it also has a variety of other output methods besides VGA, including Composite (RCA) and S-Video. Each offering rock solid visuals and flexibility, but the Dreamcast was obviously meant to be witnessed utilizing the VGA mode, in all of it's heavenly glory. I honestly didn't expect to be blown out of the water by significantly upgraded 480P resolution, but I couldn't help but be totally shell shocked. It was like traveling back in time and watching Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast spring to life for the first time. Its strange how something so simple as a VGA box can elevate the entire gaming experience on the Sega Dreamcast to an completely different level. It's something that I hadn't imagined was possible on Sega's decade old console. My only lament is that I didn't snatch one a long time ago, when they were first avalaible. So, if you have a Dreamcast and still enjoy playing video games on Sega's venerable console, do yourself a huge favor and purchase a VGA box today!
