This is the first online game I have ever played. When Sega announced they were going to focus on online play, I thought that's going to be weird and unsuccesful. But when I popped in Quake III arena I was surely mistaken. I just want everyone out there who has a dreamcast to get this game it's fantastic, this is the best feature on your Dreamcast so use it.Customer Review: Speaks to my inner beast!

I started playing Quake III a few months ago at my buddies house and it has become a sunday tradition for 4 of us to get together, talk trash and blow eachother away. The 4 player mode is the best, for the sheer joy of laughing with your friends. Now, I'm not a violent person, but this game is the most fun you'll have on ANY video gaming system out today. The graphics are beautiful and the game play is flawless once you get used to it. It's also DEFINITELY the most addicting game I've ever played. If you own a dreamcast, this is the one title you simply must have. Go buy it, enjoy, and expect to take a few days off work!Customer Review: Oh yeah baby!

Aiight, first and foremost the game is VERY playable with the DC controller (jes dont try and type too much) and i think that i can beat down 90% of you fools out there with it. i'll admit, the keyboard/mouse combo will make you more accurate and efficient, but with practice, the controller has its advantages.Now framerate.. this game absolutely slides. i've played a great many FPSers and i know framerate. 30 FPS is plenty fast. (in fact, i have never in my life experienced such an amazingly intense, fast, and insane game.. INSANE!!)
4 people may be a little bit short, i admit, but any more would be too many on certain levels. oh well, still as adrenaline pumping as ever.
Ah yes, the levels. what gorgeous and magnificent levels! but to get to see them you'll need to play a level with no people. There are so many little ledges and little places to hide and camp from, and so many open spaces for the true action, that you can keep exploring for ever. and its all very well designed.
The music is cool, and fits the bill well. lots of guitar and techno stuff. but if you really wanta rock put in a slipknot CD.
The weapons are origional and deadly. all of them scary when in the hands of someone who knows how to use them. although the shotgun takes off too much of you ask me. but if there were any more weapons, it would be too hard to find the one you want.
Overall, this is just the most addicting game experience on earth, and i pity the fool who doesn't get the chance to play it.
oh and don't expect to play this game offline EVER AGAIN. once you play this online... woo ha! you wont care about story lines or bots.

I got this game with my Dreamcast for Christmas, and I must say... it's not like Tribes or any other first player shooter I have played. It's like... more toony to me. I love Tribes and GoldenEye 007, but this game is more hard. Maybe because I don't like using the keyboard too much, but I just didn't get into this game too much.Plus my Dreamcast modem is having problems, so I haven't been able to play the game online yet... so blah lol.

Quake 3 has some of the best graphics i have seen on the dreamcast. Besides the graphics, the gameplay is good too. This game really shines in the multiplayer and internet sections. It is so much fun to play online against people, and frag the hell outta them! =) I only occasionaly recieve lag while playing online. It is also fun to play a split-screen game against your friened. Why not 5 stars? The single player game gets old, quick. Its just you in arena going against computer AI players. If only they made the gameplay like quake 2 it would deserve 5 stars. Still, overall its a great game. I only occasionaly recieve lag while playing online.P.S If you see "TREND" on a seganet server, prepare to be fragged! =)
