Video Game Reviews of Carnival GamesCustomer Review: Families rejoice everywhere! Summary: 5 StarsTHIS IS A GREAT GAME FOR FAMILIES! We love this game and our children ask for it on an almost daily basis. What we truly love about the game is that our 4 & 5 year old daughters can play along with us without feeling frustrated. Young children can grasp the feel of mostly all the games and play along. We have spent countless hours and days holed up in the house because of this game. Why go to a carnival where you most likely won't win anything and waste tons of money when you can visit the carnival through your WII?? Highly recommend to everyone.
Customer Review: Very fun... Summary: 4 StarsI purchased this for a gift for my niece and she loves it. She said its easy to play yet challenging enough to keep her intrest. Great Game
Customer Review: Wii Love This Game!!! Summary: 5 StarsThis game is great. It's fun for children of all ages and adults too. It brings the entire family together for some fun quality time. There are over 25 games to play. Many of the games favor different skills so everyone will find a few games that they can get really good at. All of the favorite carnival games are right in your home to play along with family and friends. We love this game and stronglhy recommend it.
Customer Review: fun Summary: 5 StarsWe like this game. The kids play this for hours, very fun. Just like real carnival games you even get to trade your points for stuff like helmets, glasses, different clothes. Do buy.
Customer Review: Review by aging boomer whose last video game experience was Atari..... Summary: 3 StarsIt's OK, but I didn't find it at all intuitive to use. I have read the instruction manual twice and still have difficulty. (As opposed to the Wii Sports that came with the console, which I simply started playing!)
I was terribly disappointed not to be able to use my Mii's, which I assumed would work with all games - for the reason for my assumption, see my review's title.... ;->
I didn't like the Carnival Games characters nearly as much as the Mii's - less choice and control in face/hair/etc. (The Mii's are amazing! - I made, for example, an exact duplicate of Hank Hill.) And, unless I'm missing something, the Carnival Games characters offer no ethnic variety.
I found the carnival barkers annoying and wish there was a way to turn them off. It also seemed to me that there were fewer things you could skip past than in the Wii Sports.
This and Wii Sports are the only two games I have so far, and I think there is a pretty stark contrast between them, not in Carnival Games' favor. I play this one sometimes (I bought it mostly for the skee ball), but I'd really just as soon I'd saved my money.
