Video Game Reviews of Raving Rabbids Travel in TimeCustomer Review: Not as good as the previous 3 raving rabbids, not bad but has ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! Summary: 3 Stars
I just saw the review for this game on youtube by "knightwing01" aka kwing & I agreed w/it totally.
I love/own the previous 3 raving rabbids mini games & this one is just missing something, I think maybe it feels the more shallow then previous raving rabbids. I rented it & am not interested in buying it at all. unlike kwing, I only had one small glitch while playing.
the loading screens take a long time (for the main games) & just being able to sing off-key, or hit the other rabbids w/you isn't enough to pass the time, though it's a good start in having an interactive loading screen which is a great idea. the videos are funny as always, though not quite as silly as previous ones, the graphics are AWESOME for a mini game title, colorful/cheerful as always & how they add history into gameplay is great. the micro? games that are found all over the museum (interactive home instead of menu systems) were cute, but VERY shallow & can't really be counted as anything but an extra cuteness besides the silly version of Just Dace, trvia & Guitar Hero.
it's just the actual gameplay that feels like it's missing something compared to the old raving rabbids mini game titles, maybe it's the fun challenge like previous raving rabbids games, that felt like old arcades (except the flying). these games feel more shallow. The mini games are in only a few themes: shooting, racing (tethered to second rabbid by toilet paper), simple style simple platforming, flying (using your arms/motion) & fishing (motion+ only).
I tried/unlocked every single game, shooting games like shooting the rabbids (though nowhere good as 1 & 2 that use plungers) were nice, but not some of the other shooting games like shooting rocks, etc., which was VERY dull. most of the tethered racers are cute, (the idea of tethering & standing on each other's head to jump is great), but a bit shallow, though the power items help add to gameplay. the flying games controls worked great & there was different styles & the physics were challenging in a fun way. I could not deal with the controls of the fishing w/motion+, I just could not get it to respond (seems Josh could), though happy third party developers are trying to use them.
the fact it has online multiplayer, instant leaderboards, syncing to facebook to show off acheivements, etc. is the strong part of this title besides the graphics & humor.
it's defintely worth a rental to make your own choice.

he agrees that several of the games are lame, but it's true there are a few that are original & fun, especially the flying, some of the races & a few platfomers. whether that's still worth a buy is personal opinion.

Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time is a party game for play on Wii that is rooted in fast and frenetic comic multiplayer action that is the hallmark of the original releases in the Raving Rabbids franchise. Utilizing a time travel theme, the game features 20 mini-games, set at pivotal stages in human history, as well as shorter history-oriented micro-games and hilarious cutscenes related to each mini-game. Go Where No Rabbid Has Gone Before The Rabbids are about to change the course of human history and you're invited to the party. The Rabbids are bwaaack and this time they have an infallible plan to invade the human world, by way of the past. Sounds crazy, even for the Rabbids, but when they discover time travel by way of their Time Washing Machine, you can bet they will cause loads of ridiculously wacky mayhem in history. Gameplay As with most of the releases in the Raving Rabbids franchise, Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time is a party game, filled with comic adventure that unfolds against the backdrop of a large number of frenetic mini-games and micro-games that utilize the Wii Remote and Wii Remote/Nunchuk controller combination. Returning in full force to the series theme of full-fledged multiplayer, all of the game's 20 mini-games support 4-player multiplayer, with the Wii providing AI functionality in the event of fewer than four players. The game also contains co-op play options. Each of the mini-games is set in a different time period/benchmark in human history, anchored by comic cutscenes showing historical characters. As the chaotic Rabbids burrow their way back into the past using their unorthodox time machine, the established timeline of human events and history hangs in the balance, with players participating in mini-games action that utilize a variety of gameplay mechanics. Success in these earns players points, which can then be used in a museum area that exists outside the realm of the mini-games to collect over 30 costumes for the player's personal Rabbids. Micro-games are also available here. Additional features include online functionality, including leaderboards and Wii MotionPlus support.
