Many N64 games had some kind of interface with corresponding Game Boy games. This is what you use to connect the two and transfer data between them.
I purchased this pak primarily to move Pokemon from my Game Boy color carts onto the longer-lasting N64 Pokemon Stadium 2 cart. It was nice that Pokemon Stadium 2 also allowed me to play the game itself on the big television screen, though that was just a bonus.
In addition, the Mario Sports games give you bonuses on both the big-screen and Game Boy versions. Humorously enough, the Game Boy games are essentially the "minor leagues," while the N64 carts represent the championships and pro tour.
There are other, similar connections. If you have both an N64 and a Game Boy or Game Boy Color, verify that you have games that work together. If you do, this is well worth the purchase.
